A wide crimped band covers the front of the foot, cut on a diagonal that runs parallel to the lines of the heel section below. Behind it, a separate ankle strap wraps the foot and fastens with a metal buckle, so the fit sits exactly where you want it. The open toe and clean angles keep the whole thing feminine without any fuss.
Underneath is a sculpted wedge sole, low enough to walk in all day and shaped with a carved texture through the heel that catches the light from the side.
The leather is vegetable-tanned calf from a Tuscan supplier, through-dyed and wax finished with a light pull-up effect, then tumbled for softness. Colour and texture vary from pair to pair as a result, and the leather deepens with wear and sunlight. It softens and gives a little as you break it in.
